The gold medal-of the- American Institute of Architects has- been awarded-to Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens, the British architect, and. designer; of the famoufi Queen’s dolls’ house; which was presented to Queen Mary. Sir Edwin Lutyens’s works include the Whitehall Cenotaph, the British School of Art, Rome ; the British. Pavilion, Paris, 1960 ; the British Art Exhibition Building, Rome; and tbe Picture Gallery and -South African War Memorial, Johannesburg. He was one of the principal architects for the Imperial War Graves Commission.
