One of’,the many i scientific investigations -to be made during the solar eclipse: on January 24th will be the search for a new element. Dr C. -Oi Kiess, of the Bureau of! Stendatds, will he one of 'the-observers! oh - the airship Los Angeles, and will photograph the sun’s corona with a spe: rial: camera. It is expected that he mil be able to abstract conclusive proof that coron'ium metal, which is. merely suspected now; is an actuality. At the moment of the eclipse- the central body will be completely-obscured, the only light coming from the corona.
