It is learned that theatre authoritiee have banned the meeting in memory of Lenin announced to .be held in the New Oxford Theatre op Sunday under the auspices of the Communist Party of Britain. ■ v . It appears that it was after the theatrre had been let to them that Ae Communists announced that* the gatnering was to be a Lenin -'memorial meeting. The speakers were to include Messrs Saklatvala and J. H. .Campbell, of the paper “Communist.” .. The owners of the theatre state Aft some of Ae largest shareholders had written protesting against the letting of the building for such a purpose. The lessees are of Ae opinion Aat, such use of the theatre was outside the terms of the licence. If the Communists decline to give up the hall a legal decision will be sought.
