PAKENA FIRE
VESSEL ARRIVES IN POKr. DAMAGE NOT ABC*RTAINBD. An arrival in port yesterday was the Shaw, Sarill and Albion liner Fskeka,from Tokomaru Bay. Owing to a fire breaking out in her No. 1 hold while loading at Tokomaru Bay it was .deemed advisable to bring the Wellington. Ota arrival at this port. a “Times” representative waa advised that the anwunt of rtemty done would not fie able tit be asserts!aed tiU after hsr discharge here. From account gathered it was learnt that the fire died out on her way down, also that no water or chemical fire ex* tinguishers were used. It is believed that the bagging around the meat which which the hold is loaded with was the cause of the outbreak, and that no damage has been dona to the vessel.
