St. Thomai’S second innings 30. Bowling for Old Boys Leys took five wickets for 50 rune; Morton, two for 38 and fonr for 9; Eton, one for 5 and four for’l3. For St. Thomas Ward took five wickets or 95 and J. Bolt two for 22. Old Boys won by an innings .and 138 cans. Midland secured a three-point, win: over Institute, making 272 in their first strike (Hutchings 63, Watson 85, .Brooks 29, Allan 98, Tfdmra 90, Tierney 20 not out). In their first innings Institute made 14b. (Neot 70, Owen 35). Following on they made 848 for seven wickets (Arnold 136 net out, Ndot 99, F. Andrews 89, Extern 27, Barr 22). In their second strike Midland had seven wickets down' for 104 runs. JUNIOR B. Thorndon defeated Jqhnsonville by an innings and seven nme. Thorndon vmA, 149 in their strike, the home team making 88 and 54 (J. Ell, not out 10). Martin, took fonr wiokets for 80 runs, and Beid two for 13, were responsible fbr the poor showing made hy the suburban team. JUNIOR C. . Thorndon obtained a four-point win over Y.M.C.A. hy 109 runs. Thbrndon made 180 and 909 (Hart 87, Knox 97). and Y.M.C.A. 68 and 161 (Johnrwn 50, Harper 44, Gllliea 15, Jamies 15). Bowling for Thorndon, Hart took fonr wickets, for 10 runs and Williams three for 63. For Y.M.C.A. Johnson secured (our wickets for 64 runs. Hataitai defeated Wellington to the tune of IQ wiokets. In the first innings the winners made 212 and had no wiokets down for 85 in-ths-eeeond (Jeffrey 41 not out and Work 40 not out), v Wellington Mcured 169 in their first W?* in their second (Hickson 52, Nnad 22, Thompson 20 not out): MERCANTILE LEAGUE. J. J. Niven and Co. defeated P. and T. Stows at Newtown Park by seven wic kris end 14 runs. Pand T. Stores made 147 (Adams 74, McGregor 21 not ont). Niven rad Co. had three wickets down for 161 (L. Cording 72 not ont, H. Marsh 96 not out, W. Adams 21). Bowling for Nivens D. Croll took four wickets for 23 runs end Is Cording three for 42. At Wakefield Perk Cable rad Co, compiled a formidable 801 (Grrig 105 not ont A. Cunningham 50 retired, Dwyer 88, j’ Cunningham 26, Crawford 15). Hansford and Mills made 49 (Knapp 15'not out Reid 12, Slater 10). Bowfing for Cabte and Co. Hendeieon took five wickets for 12 runs and Hart three for 7. For Hansford rad. Mills 81ater was the most successful bowler and took six wiokets.
