Prior to the discovery of human re- . mains the -suitcase found on Thorn’s fartn was buried at a depth of three fedt. It contained a pair of spectacles' and handkerchiefs and undercldthing marked “E. C. Cameron.” Miss Cameron was last seen carrying a similar case. She habitually wore spectacles. The developments were* the result of f. Thorn’s' visit and statement to the po- ! lice, who questioned him for eighteen hqura. They then huTried. to the farm, and turned over rubbish heaps and cabbage patches. The, dramatic feature of the investigations wqs that the fathers of both i - Thorn and Cameron watched the digging without seeing each: other.
