It <ie -understood that the driver of the Ashfiekd-train involved 'in the collision ;on Wednesday .night has been suspended. The Railway Commissioners have issued a statement vhart during the -last twenty-four years there were only three railway .accidents in whieh people were killed through clauses beyond their awa control. The ‘total of such fatalities was 21. The railways last year carried over 128,000,j890 people.
