EXCURSION TO PICTON. The Union Company advise that the steamer Mararoa is leaving Wellington on Thursday (New Year's Day) on a daylight excursion to Picton and back. NAVIGATING PORT STEPHENS. The New South Wales Department of Navigation directs the attention of shipmasters and others navigating; Port Stephens to the fact that the hulk Psyche, loaded with timber, lies sunken in Salamander Bay in from 80ft to 40ft of water, her position being approximately three cables and a half north, 85 east, from Wanda Wanda jetty. The Psyche is a dismantled gunboat, and is owned ly Messrs Mills and Rigby, timber merchants, of Newcastle, who lately had her taken/from Sydney to Port Stephens for use as a -timber hulk. The position of the sunken vessel will be marked with a green buoy by the Department of Navigation. i
