76 YEARB AT CAMBRIDGE
COLLEGE PRESIDENT DEAD. AustraiiAn and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, December 28. Mil George Downing Liveing, President of St. John’s College since 1911, is dead. He had been in' residence at Cambridge University without a break for 76 years. He Was 97 years of age, and Was first' in the Natural Sciences Tripos in 1860. He started, in. 1862. the first students’ laboratory at Cambridge.
