Despite the opposition of the Minister of Public 'Works, the Senate upheld, by 152 votes tip 143, an amendment of the Amnesty Bill, making the reinstatement of the rail waymcn dismissed in consequence of the 1920 railway strike optional for the companies. The amended bill was adopted by 213 votes to 67.
