‘AFTER FORTY-MILE CHASE. VALUABLE CARGO. Reuter's Telegram. (Received December 26, 8.16 p.m.) NEW YORK, Deoember, 25. The British schooner Petara, with seven prisoners and 6000 cases of alleged liquor, and also three motorboats and 12 other prisoners, were taken by the coastguard. The liquor is valued at more than 600,000 dollars. The Petara was captured after a 40mile chase by two revenue cutters.
