CHRISTMAS WINDFALL
BRITISH POSTAL WORKERS. TWO MILLION POUNDS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received December 24, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 23. One hundred thousand postal clerks and . telegraphists are to reoeive what is described' as the world’s greatest ‘‘Christmas box,” as the Government has decided to accept the decision of the Appeal' Court, and pay out £2,000,000. The employees claimed they were entitled to full civil pay, in addition to war bonuses, during their period of military service.
