Treadwell,, who'opposed the application on bohalfi of the bankrupt, said that the present proceedings, were killing" the goose that laid, the golden egg. It was tjue that bankrupt had been earning £7 & week, but when his employer found that he was being; worried by legal process over his bankruptcy, be had been dismissed, and was at present out of employment. Counsel maintained that, in view of the air bered circumstances, the application was absurd. His Honour said that it was clear bankrupt could hot comply with an order made in accordance with the application, and postponed the matter until February 16th.
