Page, S.M., presided oyer tresterday’a sitting of the Magistrate's Court. ; An offender wfis fined . 7a 6d for drunkenness; James Cromwell, on his fourth appearance for drunkenness, was fined £3. ’ For being drunk, George Goodwin was fined 6a, and for damaging a motor-car lie was ordered to pay £1 8s expenses. George Saulfe, alias Faults, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment far being idle and disorderly. j Michael McGrath, alias Martin, alias D’Connor, alias Sharker, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment for ob-; taining four electric light globes by! false pretences. I Robert Bruce Mclnlay was sentenced lo one month’e hard labour for stealing ■ bag and contents valued at £4. He was stated to have stolen the hag from k friend. SUMMONS CASES. Geoffrey Butcher w.as fined 10s and Eta for having an indistinct number his motor-cycle and £1 for having no 1 ■n. ' Using threatening behaviour cost \ Leonard Griffin Bussell £1 and costs. George Ootterell, John Hines, Robert , Kelly, Bay Mowat, and Thomas j O’Rourke were fined, £2 and costs each , for being on licensed promisee, the , Grand Hotel, after hours. The Muritai Gravel-and Sand Company, Ltd.,, was fined £5 and costs for carrying, on business without a license. The New Brighton Co-operative Money Club, for’failing to Sepd in income returns to the Registrar of Friendly Societies, was fined £2O and costs.
