NEW SPEEDWAY “CHRISTENED.” (Sydney “Sun” Cable.) SAN FRANCISCO, December 16. Culver City, California, witnessed the establishment of a new world record at the opening of a new speedway, when Bennett Hill drove 250 miles in 1 hour 56 minutes (over 127 miles per hour). Three other drivers averaged more titan 126 miles an hour.
