RATS

AN INFESTEb TIP. It was reported to the City Council by the health committee that, as a result of a complaint received regarding rats in the vicinity of the tip at Hutcheson road, the rat-catcher was recently employed, and for the fortnight ended December Bth, 1924, 21 rats were caught. Although this was a small catch for traps, the ratcatcher, hbwever, reports that one cwt. of poison was laid with good results, and that the tip is now fairly free of rate.
