The newspaper “AI Abram” states it has. been- decided to appoint an Egyptian as Sirdar of the Egyptian army. It is understood that such-a decision would naturally be in agreement with Britain, and there appeara some foundation for the statement. General Sir Lee Stack, who was murdered, in-, Cairo, was and also Governor-General’ of the Sndan. The two positions-are in future ,-not to he held by the ’same mad. Sir Geoffrey Archer has been appointed to the Sudan.
