YESTERDAY'S SOTTING. Mr il. Page, S.M„ dealt with the following cases in the Magistrate’s Court, yesterday. Louisa Pauline Stanley, on her second appearance for ' drunkenness, was remanded for a week. A first offending inebriate was fined se. George Powell was fined 6s for being drunk, and £1 for using threatening behaviour. George Edgar Pengelly was remanded for a week on a charge of stealing a suitcase valued at £2 19s 6d, the property of Theresa Sternberg. I For assaulting a railway official wlto tried to prevent him boarding a moving'train Alexander R. W: Lewer was' fined £3 and costs, and. for using insulting words he was convicted and' discharged. A prohibition order was also.issued-against him. 1 “If you go -to the Salyation , Armv Home they will look lafter you.” said the magistrate to. James-Clarko and Richard ■ Berg, who were charged with being idle and disorderly. They were convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within twelve months. On cross charges of indecent assault Alan Cameron McPhee and George Edward Charlton were committed for trial. •
