THE ALL BLACKS
EXTRA MATCH PROPOSED AGAINST REPRESENTATIVES OF BRITISH ISLES. NOTHING DECIDED. By Telegraph.— Press Assn. —Copyright. Austrah?ii and N.Z. Coble Association. (Received December 9, 7.36 p.m.) LONDON, December 8. The All Blacks are having a most enjoyable tour in the Midlands. Alter the Combined Services match next Saturday the team will take up residenoe in secluded quarters op the South coast, where the fifteen to meet England will he selected, and undergo special preparation. The newspapers, are featuring a suir-cestio-i that an extra match should be arranged between the New Zealanders rind h combined team representing England, Wales and Ireland, the match tn be played at Wembley Stadium. The proposal emanated from a group of Cardiff sportsmen, but at present it is purely nebulous, uhe English Rijgbv Union has not heard anything officially of it. It ia understood the Now Zealanders are not disposed to supplement their original 'fixture list The “Star” states that it has practically been decided that tlie All'Blacks shall mtef a combined Angld-Irish-Welsli team .at Wembley Stadihm, the pioceeds of which will be devoted to charity in each of the respective enuntiiea. FIVE MATCHES MORE. The All Blacks are to meet Warwickshire to-day. at Coventry, and on Saturday they will make’ their second appearance on the Twickenham ground, against Combined Services (Army, Navy, and Air Force). In the following week they will play against Hampshire, at Portsmouth, and London Counties at, Twickenham. After a week’s rest they will meet England in the Test. . The team .has done a great deal of travelling -lately, and a period of nearly three weeks in fixed quarters, with little travelling, will undoubtedly benefit them. THE TEST TEAM, The cablegram, makes u, appear that the Test team is to be chosen almost immediately. Little advantage would be gained by this unless the IUOn chosen were relieved of all other playiug engagements, but it is doubtful ’ whether the risk of sending opt the second fifteen against such a side as London Counties could safely be taken.
