rr L CHRISTMAS ISSUES. FIRST EDITION TO-DAY. A special Christmas issue of the “New Zealand Times”—the first of two such issues before- the festive season arrives—is published to-day (Wednesday, December 10th), together with the ordinary news issue ;or-the’paper. This special Christmas issue comprises 18 pages, and the hews issue 12 pages, making 28 in all. There are interesting special-articles, -besides Christinas stories, poetry,’ and miscellaneous matter; together with a special department dealing With the motor trade. All sections are illustrated with a profusion of pictures—looal, topical, and humorous.

Another feature of the issue of. more than usual interest, .is the special sections relating to country, and suburban diotriete. . These sections include the various towns nestling in the Hutt Valley—Petono, Lower .Hutt, Upper Hutt.
