The council was agreeable, and decided to arrange for the m%tter to be submitted to the ratepayers at an early date. The council decided to take eteps to' reach' an agreement with the Hutt and Petone borough authoritiee for the acquisition of land at Taita. This is intended to rib used as a cemetery. Charges for dog : licenses were fixed at existing rates. The next meeting of the council was «fet down for Janriary Ifith.
