After iunch rain caused a cessation -of play, and ?. little later the south- . erners. successfully appealed against the light. On resuming, V. Richardson "batten superbly, hittiug all round the wicket, and adding runs rapidly. Pritchard, in partnership with him. batted patiently and solidly, giving South Australia a fighting chance.
