Th« “Daily Chronicle" correspondent at Berlin says that deep sea divers, north of the island of Rugen (in the Baltin) discovered the remains of a large Danish warship, which was Wrecked in the Baltic in the year 1433. The diver, who brought up mediaeval guns, aays he also saw. the immense walls of a city. The theory is that this is the site of the long-lost oitv of Vineta. which was swallowed up 825 years ago, at the time the Goodwin Skndb were formed. Heine has sung of the legend of the sunken city of Vineta.
