THEFTS AT SEACLIFF
MAORI YOUTH PLEADS GUILTY* Pet Press Association. DUNEDIN, September 1«. John Selwyn Matthews a Maui youth, was charged in the Police Court to-day with having broken and entered the Seadiff railway station «n September 6th and stealing the aum af £5 19s «d, the property of the Government, and one gold expanding wristlet watch valued at £lO, the. ran. nart-y of the Postmaster-General, the total value of tho stolen property heme £l9 19s 6d. He was ateo charged with on or about August 22nd breakinsr and entering the shop of Alexander Crow, of Seacliff, and stealing therefrom the sum of £5, and one electric torch valued at 11s, the tetri vitae being £5 11s, and also with breaking' and entering the same shop Vn September and steeling one box or ohocojatea, two padlocks, one electro torch, two school bags, a number o: stamps, and 3000 rounds of ammunition to a total value of £8 2s. The accused pleaded guilty and wa* nommitted for sentence. Bail was allowed In'a sum of £SO, and one ouretr of £SO.
