They give 'here Mr Spitz's answer, BV says he is not a politician, and he does not want to be one. and could not 6ay whaf^effeef 1 it would have on tho local the tariff were increased but he can tell why their workroom is aa’ 4 biMy as-ever and their staff, working' fuU"trwne*<eontinuously. Mr Spite has realised that the buying power of the New Zealand ladies-ie more limited than it has been .on the other hand, their knowledge' and taste for better class of dresses, costumes, etc.* has improved •wonderfully in the last few years, hence they want the very best article for the lowest possible price. Season after season the firm has not only improved the duality of the garment# made in their workroom, but from time to time 'batbeen able to lower the prices so much that to-dav they can 6ell locally made articles at a far lower price than the garments they import.
