TO-DAY’S ATTRACTION. The twentieth annual Rugby match between teams representing Marlborough and Wellington will be played at Athletic Park this afternoon, when it .is anticipated that a large gathering of football enthusiasts will he in attendance to watch proceedings. Since 1899 Wellington has won twelve of the matches player, and Marlborough haa scored the honours in six of the games. The Marlborough team has been on tour in the south during the past few weeks, and it is reported that in consequence of this their combination haa improved very surprisingly. Despite the fact that they 'already hare~a te'flm on tour, Wellington will be represented by a formidable fifteen, and a strenuously contested game should result. This match will be preceded by two curtain-Taiaers, Technical College--Old Boys v. Mnxist, and Oriental v. Wellesley College. These are the final games' in'the’ th irdigrade ccMrifetititin.'’ - Owing *to injuries received ‘iii the south three members of the Marlborough team—Walker, Fleming, and Simpson—have returned to Blenheim, F. Noble-Adams has joined up with' the team for to-day’s match.
