A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT “WE HAVE HAD TO GO OVER THE MARK.” PREMIER’S CANDID ADMISSION. "Wo are raising a tremendous amount of money by way of loan just at present, and I cannot help it: but 1 want to keep public expenditure down to reasonable limits,” stated the Prime Minister, in the course of his reply to tho deputation from tho Wellington Chamber of Commerce yesterday morning. “Wo have had, however, to go over the mark raising money for different putrposes—hydro-etecfiricity, railways, ’and this difficulty of raising money for febtlors for mortgage purposes and for housing. I think Wellington could do with a good deal more than it has had yet for housing.” (Hear, bear.)
