BERHAMPORE SCHOOL

MEETING 1 OF COMMITTEE.

Tho monthly mooting of the Berhampore School Committee was held on Thursday last. Present: Messrs B. W. Burd (chairman), R. T. Bailey, W Ghatfield, N. Husband and H. J. Maisey. Apologies were received from Messrs W. Whitely and Rev. Catchpole. The headmaster’s report was satisfactory, hut the attendance was greatly - affected through sickness, chiefly in the lower standards, and infants department. A letter of thanks wao received

from Mrs Wilkinson, for.,tho basket balls presented by the committee. A special committee was set up, Messrs R. T. Bailey (oor.veuwr), G. W. Burd, W. Chatfield and W. Gilbertson; to make arra ngeinoivta to entertain the senior football team who have won the school championship. A protest was entered by. the committee against the Public School Rugby. Tournament Committee in calling upon the Berbampcre senior team to play another final, they havihg already defeated all the teams in the competition.
