terday on the rejection of preference to the dominions by the House of Commons. “Of course,” he added, “I, in common with most other Australians, was sorry to see it.” Mr Farrar also refrained from commenting on the Labour Government in England, and would not comment on the economic conditions in Europe at the present time. Mr Farrar said that while ho was in England he went into the immigration question on behalf of his Government, and addressed meetings in various parts of the country. He stated that there were many inquiries about the colonies from an excellent class of immigrant.
