STREET PAVING

NEW DEPARTURE. A new departure has been made in putting down hot-mix bitumen from footpaths by the city works department. Footpaths in Keliburn are now being put down, Upland road being treated: at present. The advantage of this paving is that it can be done much cheaper. Similar material is also being supplied for the centre of the tramway lines in Wakefield street.
