SCOTTISH SOCIETY
At the last meeting of tho general committee of the Scottish Society and Pipe Band, the secretary, Mr W. K. Boyd, reported that with still four months to elapse before the society's annual meeting, tho year promised to he a record one. Tho bunk account, showed an increase as largo as last, year's, ami there were no liabilities. The membership was in a very satisfactory position, tlie .roll showing a. steady incrcttso of new members. The committee and members would bo pleased to hear that the treasurer iMr N. Melvoan) and Mr .1. Mr- [ Pollan wore convalescing satisfactorily. Initial arrangements were well in hand for the “members' evening.” to be held shortly, at which «omo visitors from the south are expected to be present.
