LABOUR NOT FORGETFUL ALTERNATIVE SCHEMES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, March 18. Mr A. H. Ashbolt, Tasmanian Agent-General, stated that the British Government strongly favours the establishment of Imperial airships. Its opposition'to the Burney scheme does not mean scrapping the Empire air line. It is understood that an alternative scheme is at present being prepared. When it is completed, it ."s likely to be submitted, together with the Burney scheme, to a free vote of Parliament. *
