cßy the Government Meteorologists Present indications (4 p.m. yesterday), are for variable winds, moderate to strong, north-easterlies prevailing northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and north-westerly to south-westerly elsewhere. Weather dull and changeable generally, with showers, especially in the north. West Coast, and southern districts. The barometer has a falling tendency, but is likely to rise in the south after about ten hours.
