POTATOES HOLDING UP. GOOD QUALITY PEAS. ' Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 7. Potatoes are still worth about £5 5s per tom truoke to farmers. The reported drop ih. price at Sydney so far has not been reflected hero. Oats are very dull, none being offering and no alteration being recorded in prices. Partridge peas.—There ia a continued good inquire, and! there is any amount of them offering at 7s, while crope are lighter than was expected in so far as tho yield is concerned. This is compensated for by good quality, which is said to bo hotter than for come considerable time. Bran is now worth «£5 10s f.o.b. main ports, 10s extra for smaller packing, the r.ew pr.as having come into operation from the first of the month. Tho new price for pollard is 10s f.0.b., main ports, 10s extra for smaller packing. With regard’ to the onions it is stated that Wellington and Auckland merchants are purchasing some Australian stuff which is said to b© of better quality than that locally grown.
