DUKE OF YORK BECOMES PRESIDENT. It was announced at the annual festival of Dr Barnado’s Homes thatH.R.H the Duke of York had become their president. These homes have been in existence for 58 .years, and during that period - they have rescued over 5)6,000 children. Their present family numbers 7308 boys and girls—the largest in the world. "On an average they admit five daily from the ranks of child destitution all over the Empire. The charter of the homes is “No destitute child ever refused admission/'
