SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

Miss E. J. Robertson presented a programme of a nature beloved by the seafarer, to her guests at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Thursday, and was rewarded with many encoree and much applause. The performers were the Misses E. M. Robertson, Rita Reece, E. J. Robertson, Z. CarrolL and Messrs Oooper, G. Power, T. Jenkins. B. Clements (who did some wonderful conjuring tricks), Read, -Leach, Ross. Miss E. J. Robertson was at the piano. The competitions were a feature of the evening, the prizes coming from the hostess and went to the Kia Ora and Scottish Monarch.
