DISCIPLINE OF YOUTH. Ter Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March S. At the Methodist conference to-day tho Rev. El. P. Blnmires, geneial secretary of Sunday School and Yonng People’s Department, presented a report on work carried out during the year. Referring to tho Bible class movement the report stated that tho Young Men’s and Young Women’s Bible Class movements were consolidating their work. The tragic loss by the church in the past of two-thirds of her youth in the early teen yeare was an ample challenge to the church to establish a special department to grapplo with the problem. Some progress was being mado The growth of junior Bible classes continued and attention wag drawn to another development in intermediate classes which were springing up in many places as the church learned to oonserre its young life. In _ the adolescent. years they might anticipate that Bible class membership would be as largo as that of tho main school of to-day- Tho church would bo invincible when sho learned how to enrol and discipline the nrmies of her youth.
