THE POULTRYMEN AND THE GROWERS REPRESENTATIVE DEPUTATION TO MIN ISTER HIGH PRIGE OF FOWL WHEAT A large and representative deputation from the New Zealand Poultry Association conference waited upon the Minister for Agriculture (the Hon. W. Nosworthy) yesterday to protest against the high price of fowl wheat. Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P., introduced the deputation, which was accompanied also by Messrs P. Fraser and R. McKeen, M.P.’s, and Colonel Pow (secretary to the Dominion Farmers’ Union). With the Minister was the Wheat Controller (Mr J. W. Collins, secretary to the Department of Industries and Commerce).
