Harries, who has been pastor of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church for three and-a-half years, to-night accepted the call from St. James’s, Auckland. The call was quit© unsolicited, and though the salary is £2OO per year less than at St. Paul’s, the Rev. Harries said he regarded the call as from God, who, he believed, had special work for him. He gave tho congregation no opportunity to dissuade him. Much regret is felt at the Rev. Harries’s departure, as his ministry has been most successful. The Rev.
