RIFLE SHOOTING
KARORJ CLUB. On Saturday the Karori Defence Rifle Club fired the annual musketry course in perfect weather, the president (H. T. MarshalV), a well-known service shot, headed the list, with the club’s treasurer (A. S. T. Butler) close behind. Below are the scores obtained for the five practices taken: —
SOUTH ISLAND ASSOCIATION. Per Press Association BLENHEIM. January 2». The annual meeting of the South Inland Rifle Association was held at Blenheim last night. Lieutenant F. H. Shan* land (Blenheim) was elected president. Numerous vice-presidents were also elected. representing districts of the South Island. The dates of the South Island Championship meeting were fixed for April 19th. 21st. and 22nd. The meeting is to be held on the Vernon Range, Blenheim. A lengthy programme 'has been drawn up, and provision made for liberal prise money.
