The Invercargill sails on Tuesday for W anganui The Mako sails to-day from Napier with cargo from the Port Elliott. The Opua sails to-day for Westport and Greymouth. The Orepuki loads at Tarakohe to-day for Wellington and Napier. The John sails to-day for Lyttelton and Timaru. The Holmdale sails to-day for Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton. The Opawa is dlue on Tuesday from Blenheim and sails the same day on the return trip. The Wairau is due to-day from Blenheim, and sails again this afternoon for the same port The Echo is due to-day from Blenheim and 6ails again for that port on. Tuesday. The Wakatu is due from Lyttelton and Kaikoura to-day and sails on Tuesday for the same ports. The Kennedy sails to-day for Foxton, The Kapiti sails to-day at 5 p.m. for Wanganui. The Kakapo sailed for Westport on Saturday to load for Timaru, Oamaru and Dunedin. The Komata sails on Tuesday for Westport to load for Wellington. The Ngatoro is due to-day from Westport and after discharge will return to that port again. Tho Waikawa arrived on Saturday with coal from Newcastle. The Calm sails to-day for Wanganui. The Gale, Which has been declayed at Wanganui, is row due on Tuesday and sails the same day for Lyttelton, Timaru, Oamaru and Dunedin. TAIROA LOADING FOR HOME. Tho Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the Tairoa leaves Napier on Tuesday for Gidbome to continue loading for London. From there she proceeds to Wanganui and Wellington, and is due here on February 12th. She clears this port on February 14th for Timaru and Bluff, and sails finallp from Bluff on February 20th for London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe. MAMARI’S MOVEMENTS. Tho Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the Mamari loaves Wellington on Thursday for Lyttelton to complete loading for London. She clears Lyttelton finally on February 4th for London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe. ATHENIC TO CLEAR. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the Athenic leaves Wellington at 4 p.m. on Thursday for Southampton and London, via Panama. WAIMANA FOR WELLINGTON. The Shaw, Savill end Albion liner Waimana, at present loading at New Plymouth, leaves there on Wednesday for Wanganui and Wellington. She is due here on February 4tli and sails on February Bth for Napier, Gisborne, Hicks Bay and Auckland. She clears Auckland finally on February 19th for New York, Boston and London. CANADIAN TRAVELLER. Tho Canadian Government steamer Canadian Traveller, under the agency of Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. arrived on Sunday from Napier and completes loading her for Vancouver. She sails finally on Fc/bruary 29th. ” CANADIAN CRUISER TO LOAD. Messrs Murray Roberts and Co. advise that tho Canadian Cruiser leaves Melbourne on Wednesday for Lytteleon, Dunedin, Bluff, Timaru and Wellington. She ia due at this port on February 15th to receive cargo for New York, Boston and Halifax : ROTORUA IN SOUTH. The. New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the RotoTua left Dunedin on Saturday for Bluff: From there she proceeds to Lyttelton and Wellington, and is due hero on February 6th, sailing finally on February 9th for'Southampton and London, via Panama. So^w^Snd^S^iSF^l^lny advise that the Australind left Dunedin on Saturday for Melbourne to complete dischargo of cargo from East Coast of ports. KAIKOURA FOR HOME. 'According to advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company, tho Kaikoura was to have left Tbkomaru Bay last night for Opua and Auckland. She is timed to sail on Friday for London, via Monte Video. CARGO FROM PORT ELLIOT. The C. and D. Lino in> Wellington have been notified that the first portion ot the Wellington cargo from the wrecked liner Port Elliot at East Cape, will arrive in Wellington by the Richardson steamer Mako to-day. It is expected that that the percentage of average in regard to claims on the whole cargo will be determined on the same day, and duly advertised. RACE VT SPA. An impromptu race is in progress between the New Zealand Chipping Companl’s liners Rimutaka and Ruahine, now en route from New Zealand with passengers, mails, and cargo for Southampton and London. The Rimutaka. which sailed from Lyttelton on December 21st, cleared tho Panama Canal on January 18th. The Riuahino was dispatched from Wellington eight days after tlie Rimutaka, and made a good run across tho Pacific, reaching Colon on January 19th. Sho resumed her voyage to Southampton tho following Vlay, only three days behind the Rimutaka.
COALS FROM NEWCASTLE. An arrival at Wellington late on Friday evening “as tlio Union Company s steamer Kaikorai, from Newcastle. The vessel berthed this morning at tlie Queen’s wharf to put out about 4200 tons of coal. She left Newcastle at 7 am. on Januar 19th, and experienced fine weather on (he run across, until Cook Strait was reached, when a fresh easterly wind with moderate seas was encountered. Captain W. Hender is in command of the Kaikorai. SYDNEY STEAMER! The Union Company advise that the Maheon sailed from Sydney at 1 p.m. on Friday for Wellington, where she is expected on Tuesday morning. The vessel is scheduled to leave here on Friday on the return trip to Sydney. RUAPEHU SAILS TO-DAY. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ruapehe is to leave Wellington at 3 p.m. to-day for Southampton and London. via Panama. Passengers are requested to embark on the vessel at I he Glasgow wharf by 2 p.m. WITH CARGO- PROM LIVERPOOL. The Westmorland, under the agency of the Federal Company, arrived at Wellington yesterday from Auckland to continue dischargo of Liverpool cargo, ohe leaves here on Thursday for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth to complete discharge TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. The Union -Company advise the following movements: — 3)ho Hauraki sailed from Powell River on Thursday, January 24th, for Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. She is due at Auckland’ about February 15th. The Waiotapu was oxpected to clear Rowfetl- iJSliver on Thursday, January 24th, for Sian Francisco, where sho ■.-\U complete her loading for Auckland, Melbourne, and Sydney. She should clear San Francisco about the first week in February. The Wairuna is expected to leave Newcastle first week in February for Auckland and Vancouver. She loads at Pacifio Coast ports early in March for Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. The Waitemata sailed from Pacifio Coast ports on Monday, January 7th, for Napier, Wellington, New Plymouth, and Sydney. She is due at Napier about Friay, February Ist. The Waihemo is expected to clear Auckland about Saturday, February 2nd, for Vancouver to load thence and San Francisco, clearing the latter port beginning of March for Auckland, Napier, New Plymouth, and Lyttelton. For discharge at Auckland the vessel has 181 tons of. cargo, including 353 oases shoes, 1827 bases salmon, 41 sewing machines, 6 cases autos, 250 rolls felt, 467 cases doors and shingles, 239 eases pilchards, 43 cases confectionery, and 38 cases underwear. Tho through passengers number: 77 first saloon, 49 second, nnd 41 third, and the vessel also has 1817 tons of cargo for Sydney.
