The Australasian tennis semi final oi the singles which was piayed on Friday J. A. Anderson defeated R. Hone 6—3, 6—2. Anderson soon found his length and kept Hone away from the net. As an exhibition the game was spoiled as his service was excellent and there were few rallies. Kalms and Willard, who were defeated by J. L. Patterson and I*. O’Hara Wood in the .doubles have yet to learn of position in doubles play. The losers executed a number of fine drives, but took a lot of risks when tossing to two such deadly smashers.
