PRICES WELL MAINTAINED. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, January 24. The firs'., series of local wool salsa opened to-day in the presence of a large and representative bench of buyers, who eagerly competed for the wool submitted. Prices, 60 far, have ruled on a par with those at Christchurch at last weekend, though a hardening in some lines, took place after tnreo small catalogues had been disposed of, The sale has been adjourned till tomorrow. morning. Tn all 17,750 bales axe to be submitted.
