GOVERNMENT DOOMED. OPPOSITION COMBINATION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received January 23, 5.5 p.m.) TOKIO, January 22. The Diet wag reconvened to-day. The attitude of the Lower House is hostile to the new Cabinet, which appears “doomed” to overwhelming defeat by a combination of the leading parties and factions, hut the vote on the want-of-confidence motion will not be taken till after the regal marriage on January 26th.
