Tire death sentence on Boyd for the murder of a child has been cobmmuted to imprisonment for life. Josephine Boyd, convicted of murdering an infant by strangulation, was sentenced to death. Tho child’s body was found in a suitcase in the harbour with a handkerchief stuffed in its mouth. The evidence showed that Boyd, a single woman, came from New Zealand in April last.
