FIJI VISIT

The Fiji Cricket Association has guareiteed .£3OO towards the expenses of a Dominion team touring Fiji during April and May. Mr Walter Harvie, an Auckland play; er, who has been prominent in Fiji cricket during the past two years, has been interesting himself in the matter if a tour by a team comprising Auckland and Wellington cricketers to the Islands. Early in January it was stated that several Wellington • players bad sent applications to be included in the team, but such is understood to be incorrect. though several players are certainly anxious t.o be included. It is proposed that the team shall leave Auckland on March 29th by the Tofua for Suva, later visiting Laufoka, Bau, Levuka, and Penang, at each of which places it is proposed to play matches. A Test match will probablv be played on the return to Levuka, and another Test is set down for Suva when the team gets back there. The team will catch the Niagara et Suva, and will ho back in Auckland on April 25th.
