A GREAT DISCOVERY

Bruce’s work includes the discovery of the fact that goat's milk is the medium of transference of Malta or Mediterranean fever. This most important “find” was carried out with the help of several colleagues. Before it was achieved there were, annually, thouands of cases of this fever in Malta and on the Mediterranean littoral. But once the source of the mischief had been located and the infected goats disposed of, the disease began to dwindle away. Already thousands of pounds have been saved to the British Government.
