CLOSING' ROUNDS CONTINUE. YESTERDAY’S RESULTS. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, January 21. Despite the drizzle which was experienced this morning play in the New Zealand Bowline! championship tournament was continued, great interest being manifested in the games Which are now neariti„ conclusion. It is hoped that with good luck and fine, weather the tournament will be concluded on Wednesda/ morning. , Yesterday the fifth and sixth rounds and semi-finals of the Rinks Contest were played on the St. Alban’s green, the games commencing in the morning and continuing until nearly to 7 p.m. In the aftlernoon the secoud and third rounds of pairs contest wore played on the Canterbury green, but finality in this section is impossible until Wylio, who is' engaged in the Rinks Contest, is freed, and is able to play his first, second and third round, in the post-sectional pairs games. Two first round pairs games were also played on the Sit. Alban’s green in the morning, and two singles games wore contested in the afternoon. The condition of both the greens was not so favourable as could have been wished for an account of rain overnight but with a brief spell of sunshine in the afternoon the greens dried up, and by the afternoon tea adjournment were running nicely.
