CUSTOMS REVENUE. The Customs revenue collected in Wellington yesterday amounted to £6932. Some idea of the variation in the producing capacity of different cows is given in the returns prepared by the New Zealand Co-operative Herd-testing Associa- i lion, which is now testing some 30,000 cows throughout the Waikato. One cow, a live-year-old Shorthorn, owned by a Eureka farmer, cave 111.181 b of fat for the 30 days of November, and 135.661 b of butter-fat for 47 days up to December I 2nd. Another eow, a three-year-old Holstein, owned by a Tirau settler, gave only 5.41 b of fat for tho 30 days of November and 15.21 b of fat for 64 days up to December 2nd. The Tararua Co-operative Dairy Co.’s first shipment of cheese this season, per s.s. Rotorua, realisedWhite 108 s per cwt, coloured 110 s per cwt.
