FIRE IN CONVENT
BRIGADE MAKE GOOD SAVE. Per Press Association. TIMARU, December 17. A fire at noon gutted the study on the top floor of the Convent of the Sacred Heart. A good deal of water penetrated the lower floors. The brigade made a good save. The fire is thought to have been caused by a defective kitchen chimney. « 1 ■ --
